Two good meals, two wildly different price points.

Where do you have dinner with an American living in Paris who is facing a two week visit to the States? “Something good and French,” were the requirements.

In Paris there is an endless quest to find the perfect bistro or classic brasserie, but in Lyon there’s another B-word: Bouchon.

Anyone with a sweet tooth would do well to head to Lyon tout de suite.

When I first made this cake years ago with my friend Heather we used pecans, but pecans are not so easy to find here in Paris.

We also wrote a song about it, which I’m sure is funny only to us. I will not share it with you.

I like to rearrange furniture when I’m bored, but since that isn’t really an option for me in my current apartment, I’ve moved my blog.

It’s such a relief (and all too often a surprise) when the restaurant that every is talking about turns out to be good.

Right now that restaurant is Rino.

This was a fine way to spend my first night back in Paris.
