This is very exciting.

Homemade salsa, freshly mashed guacamole, agua fresca, handmade tortillas… It almost brings a tear to my eye, and not because the salsa is honestly hot.

As I began to write about lunch at Noma, it felt a bit like describing a dream.
Not in the ideal sense (dream job, dream boy) but in the vivid unlikeliness of it all.

I accidentally made two of these cakes a few weeks ago.

This turned out to be a happy accident.

You would think, just a few days after returning from Hong Kong, that I’d be interested in eating something besides noodles.
You would be wrong.

I’ve been to and enjoyed Bread & Roses several times over the past few years.
The breads are all organic. The pastries are natural beauties. The quiches are deep and the savory tarts are filled with bright vegetables and herbs. Golden raisins peak out from a rock pile of scones…
