Neither spring weather nor the anticipated reincarnation of Spring (the restaurant) has yet to arrive in Paris. Pleasant distraction from this state of affairs can be found on Thursdays at Spring Boutique, where Josh et al will be hosting wine tastings for at least the next several weeks.
Last night Evelyne de Pontbriand of Domaine du Closel-Chateau des Vaults was there pouring two of her elegant and aromatic Savennierres, an earthy Anjou, and a crisp crémant de Loire (a blend of chenin and cabernet franc, for the curious).
As you sip you can shop the collection of wines (mostly organic or biodynamic), fantastic condiments from around France, cheese, charcuterie, and pantry staples while you sip, or make new friends — it’s always a friendly crowd.
